Davora Limited is a UK based company specialising in the publishing of high quality greeting cards designed for the western based Asian community. The company was set up in 2004 by Rajeev Arora and Gordon Davies. Here's how the story goes... One day, Rajeev bought some Diwali cards to send to his friends and family. He had been working away from home for quite some time and thought this would be a good way to get in touch with people he hadn't been in touch with for a while. The cards he bought were of a very poor quality - flimsy paper, poor print and not even any gum on the envelope! Surely he should be able to buy a decent quality Diwali card he thought? Especially in the UK where more cards are sent than in any other country on the planet?! Seeing the gap in the market, Rajeev and his friend Gordon set about finding good quality cards and designs for asian festivals. The search took them around the UK and as far as the US and India. And so Davora was born. Never again would anyone buy poor quality Greeting Cards for Diwali, Eid and other festivals. Friends and family would once again be able get in touch by sending a Davora Greeting Card! (cue: cheesy bollywood music, and song and dance sequence....) OK, so maybe we've been watching too many Bollywood films. But we do have high quality Greeting Cards with some fantastic designs. |
